Junior Play in 1964 "Meet Me In St. Louis, Louis" "Meet me in St. Louis, Louis" was the song that many juniors whistled
last year as the Class of 1965 prepared its first play, Meet Me in St.
Louis.
Bull's eye! Tootsie leaves a nice row of teeth marks on the boss's leg in an attempt to turn him against her father.
The story takes place in St. Louis in 1904, the year of the St. Louis World's Fair. The Smith family is a well-to-do, active family, but their world turns up-side-down when they discover that Mr. Smith has been transferred to New York. The four conniving daughters try every trick from derailing trolleys to dropping water balloons to convince the boss that their father does not belong in New York. Under the direction of Mr. Bill Jennings, the "Saint Louis" cast claims the distinction of producing the first costume play in the history of Madison Heights. The costumes, characterized by long skirts and derby hats, were original 1904 creations.
