Junior Prom - 1965
"Song of the Islands"

Beckoning juniors and seniors into a tropical land of dreams and enchantment, "Song of theIslands" was the theme of the 1965 prom. Misty coral isles surrounded couples as they danced to the music of the Pastels. Regal palms, exquisite flowers, and a tranquil sea created a romantic atmosphere for dancers. So realistic were the surrounding murals that one could almost hear the surf splashing against the sandy shores of the island paradise.

     The apprehension of the evening crescendoed as Craig Tunget, president of the Junior Class, crowned Janie Jaquess queen of the 1965 prom. She was attended by Vicki McQueary and Sharon Swan.
