Born in Clearfield, PA. Moved to Indiana in 1950 for my father to attend Anderson College on the G.I. Bill. Attended Longfellow School for Kindergarten, then Edgewood School for grades 1-3 and 25th Street for grades 4-6. Attended I.U. Bloomington after high school in 1965 and married John Stewart , MHHS class of 1962 between semesters that year. We moved to Southern Indiana where I returned to college and Graduated from IU South East School of Nursing, class of 1974.We returned to Anderson in 1979. We had two children: Daughter Anne-Nicole Stewart, MHHS '87 and a Hanover grad, married to Sean Casey, also MHHS '87 (and the Pirate Mascot for 3 years) a Purdue grad, lives in Sydney, Australia; Son, Ian Stewart, a 1997 graduate of Scecina High School in Indianapolis, recently completed a degree in Communications from Indiana University and lives in the Phoenix, AZ area. I was divorced in 1988 after 22 years of marriage and re- married in 1993 to John Malaspino, an Italian from Cape Cod, MA. John is a Master Cabinetmaker and specializes in creating custom designed furniture. He has 5 children and 6 grand- children. First great-grandchild was born in October. I converted to Catholicism 8 years ago and am a member of Little Flower Parish on Indy's East Side. We recently finished the last details on a MAJOR remodel of our 1925 home in Indianapolis. In October 2004 I joined the staff at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis on the Renal/Oncology unit. I am a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator also. I hold a Certificate in Advanced Energy Healing from IUPUI and practice Reiki and Massage Therapy. Over the years I have participated in various activities, from singing with an ecumenical liturgical band (traveling in an old blue Volkswagen bus no less!), to participating in community theater, and painting and teaching art and calligraphy classes. Currently spend my free time reading, gardening and taking photos of anything that holds still for me. Looking forward to more free time and going fishing!
